Pakistani cricket fast bowler Mohammad Asif will soon be seen in a Malayalam film directed by debutant director and famous lyricist Kaithapram Damodaran Namboodiri. The movie ‘Mazhavillinnattamvare’ will be launched in September this year.
Asif will be in Kannur during September to work in the film. Asif plays a cricket coach who comes to Kannur from Lahore with a personal aim.
Kaithpram has written the story of the film and will also handle the songs. Initial reports say the film will have five regular songs and a ghazal. Udit Narayan, K.S. Chitra, Deepankuran, Sankar Mahadevan, K. J. Yesudas, and Shreya Ghoshal would sing the songs.
A Sharjah-based businessman M. Mukundan produces this film under the banner Valluvankadavu Recreations.
