The film Kandahar directed by Major Ravi is based on the 1999 plane hijack.Kandahar will be the first film featuring Amitabh Bachchan.Second shedule of the shooting has been commenced at Ooty after the completion of first phase at Dehradun.
Amitabh Bachchan plays the character 'Loknath Sharma',father of an young man who was in the hijacked plane.Mohanlal comes as Commando Major Mahadevan and plays the leading character.
Amitabh Bachchan was keen in taking all shots as perfect. Kannada actress Ragini Divedi is the heroein. New commer Venktaraghavan plays the role of Amitabh's son. Apart from them Anil Murali,Mammukoya,K P S C Lalitha,Kannan Pattambi,Jaffer Idukki are other casts in the movie.
The shooting at Ooty completed today and is to be shifted to Dehradun and then to Mumbai.The film Kabdahar is expected to release on first week of December.
